North Glasgow residents gathered this weekend to celebrate the 20th anniversary of a local event.

The Cadder Gala Day started at Lambhill Stables and involved a colourful programme of events for local families in the sunshine on Saturday.

Face painting, balloon animals, costumes, live music and stalls were all part of the special event.

Community organisations such as Police Scotland Youth Volunteers, Free Wheel North and Maryhill and Ruchill Parish Church were at the forefront of the celebration.

Here are 15 pictures of the event, taken by Glasgow Times photographer Gordon Terris.
