A new eatery at Silverburn shopping centre has welcomed 2500 customers in its first week.

Döner Shack opened on Saturday, October 1 marking the occasion with a giveaway of over 500 free kebabs.

It’s the flagship Scottish restaurant for the brand which specialises in German-inspired street food including currywurst and schnitzel.

Co-founder and managing director Sanjeev Sanghera said: “The initial support we’ve received since opening the restaurant has been incredible and we are so excited to delight our customers with our fresh-tasting, delicious and convenient food concept."

“We are determined to challenge the perception of kebabs in Glasgow by serving ethically sourced, good-quality meat, fresh salad and our delicious signature sauces that are not just a guilty late-night pleasure.”

The restaurant has space for 65 diners and is located beside the Cineworld entrance to the Southside shopping centre.
