A Greggs outlet has opened in Glasgow city centre.

In June, the Glasgow Times reported that a planning application has been submitted to Glasgow City Council by the popular bakery chain to occupy the space at 19 Saltmarket.

Now, after the bid has been successful, the shop has opened.

It sells second-day pastries, cakes and sandwiches at discounted prices and is located at a unit previously occupied by Ladbrokes bookmakers, in Saltmarket.

In Glasgow, there are similar branches in Nitshill, Maryhill and the Forge.
