A new shop due to open in Glasgow's city centre has confirmed the exact date it will open.

As the Glasgow Times reported earlier this months, am pm Local has put up signs on an empty unit on Sauchiehall Street, across from Tesco.

Now, the owners of the business confirmed that the convenience store will open its doors on Saturday, November 26.

The property, at 219 Sauchiehall Street, used to be a Sainsbury's.

Recently, colourful vinyl was put up on several empty city centre units. including this one.

Glasgow City Council has confirmed that this was part of their post-Covid plan to make the high street more inviting to new businesses.
