A huge retailer is one step closer to opening a new store in Glasgow.

Poundland Ltd has applied for permission to place signs on a property.

The application, for the unit on 418 Dumbarton Road, in Partick, is currently pending consideration by Glasgow City Council.

Previously, the same unit was home to the popular Partick Mini Market, run by 23-year-old Jordan Trainer.

Prior to his involvement, the site was a Poundland store, which closed last January, after its lease expired.
