A police dog unit has been pictured at the scene of an 'ongoing investigation' at a park near Glasgow.
We previously reported that a large police presence was in place at Mugdock Country Park in Milngavie this afternoon.
Reports on social media claimed that a helicopter could be seen circling the area with a number of police vehicles parked at the South Lodge car park.
It has since been revealed that Police Scotland officers are carrying out a search in relation to a missing person.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are currently in attendance at Mugdock Country Park carrying out a search in relation to a missing person.
“There is no risk to the wider public and enquiries remain going.”
Photos taken at the scene show a number of officers in attendance at the park including dog units.
A gated also area appears to be cordoned off with cops standing guard.
