THE death of a woman in Glasgow has been linked to a search for a missing person in Mugdock Country Park, police have revealed. 

We previously reported cops were called to Jura Street in Glasgow at around 8.40am on Tuesday, April 25 after they were made aware of concern for a woman at a property on the street. 

The body of a 35-year-old woman was found within.

Glasgow Times:

Her death is currently being treated as unexplained.

An investigation is ongoing.

We also reported yesterday that police were carrying out extensive searches of Mugdock Country Park in relation to a missing person in the area.

They have now revealed this is being treated as linked to the death at Jura Street and enquiries are ongoing. 

Officers said there is not believed to be any risk to the wider public and a police presence will remain in place at both locations. 

Anyone with information is urged to speak to officers or contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0904 of Tuesday, April 25.

Detective Chief Inspector Cheryl Kelly said: "We were made aware of concern for a woman at a property on Jura Street in Glasgow shortly after 8.40am on Tuesday, April 25.

"Officers attended and the body of a 35-year-old woman was found within.

"Her death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries remain ongoing.

"Officers have been carrying out extensive searches of Mugdock Country Park in relation to a missing person in the area.

"This is being treated as linked to the death at Jura Street and enquiries remain ongoing.

"Our thoughts are very much with everyone affected by this tragic incident.

"There is not believed to be any risk to the wider public but anyone with information or concerns can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0904 of April 25.

"A police presence will remain at both locations as enquiries continue and anyone with information is also urged to speak to any of our officers."​​​​
