A GLASGOW street has been closed for emergency sewer works.
Bellgrove Street in Dennistoun will be shut from today for an unspecified amount of time from its junction with Duke Street to its junction with Reidvale Street.
Glasgow City Council confirmed that the closure is due to a "due to a sinkhole or subsidence on the carriageway".
Scottish Water investigation works will need to be carried out to understand the full extent of the damage before a timescale for the work can be given.
Updates will be provided when this is known.
The four-way traffic lights which were installed at the junction with Duke Street will be changed to three-way traffic lights and will be manually controlled during peak times to help ease congestion.
Bellgrove train station and local businesses will remain open as usual.
Road users are asked to follow the diversions in place and allow extra time for travel.
