Rangers fans still believe they have a chance of winning the league, says former Scotland keeper Alan Rough.

The Light Blues are currently 13 points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, but with football currently on shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is uncertainty surrounding how the campaign will play out.

Speaking on PLZ Soccer, he said: "I keep bumping into Rangers supporters and they're saying we still have a chance of winning this.

"That's their opinion. Win their game in hand, beat Celtic home and away, which they have done already then it's down to four!

"That is the way fans see it - wait a minute you haven't won the league. I don't have a problem with Partick Thistle - because we have a game in hand and we look after our budget.”

But the Liverpool legend is adamant that the current season should not be merged with the next and games should NOT be played behind closed doors.
