Hatem Abd Elhamed has completed his move to Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
The former Celtic defender re-signed for the Israeli outfit after failing to adapt to life in Glasgow following his move in 2019.
Manager Neil Lennon had confirmed the player had struggled amid the global pandemic with his family remaining in Israel and that he would simply go to training, play games and then head to his home in Glasgow without his loved ones.
That saw Be'er Sheva alerted to the possibilty of a return for the player and it was confirmed earlier this afternoon.
Celtic posted on social media: "Hatem Abd Elhamed has joined Hapoel Be'er Sheva on a permanent basis. The club would like to thank Hatem for his contributions at Celtic and wish him the very best in his future career."
Elhamed, 29, made 21 appearances this season in all competitions.
We told how the player wished Celtic fans the best and shared an emotional goodbye on social media. He won the treble in Celtic's 2019/20 season.
