RANGERS' European adventure was brought to an end on Thursday night as Slavia Prague ran out 2-0 winners at Ibrox to seal a 3-1 aggregate win.

The Czechs took the lead early in the first half through Peter Olayinka's header to give the away side the lead at half-time.

Kemar Roofe was brought on shortly after the restart and lasted just six minutes before being shown a straight red for a high boot on Slavia keeper Ondrej Kolar.

Things went from bad to worse for Steven Gerrard's men as Leon Balogun was then shown a second yellow card, with Romanian playmaker Nicolae Stanciu curling in the resulting free-kick to seal a 2-0 win.

And Sutton - who sparked a war of words with Scots WWE star Drew McIntyre on social media on Thursday morning - couldn't help but stick the boot into the wrestler after their elimination.

McIntyre had shared a glitzy promotional video for the game at Ibrox earlier on Thursday with the caption 'Can you see us now?' - a reference to the taunt adopted by Rangers fans to wind up their rivals Celtic.

Replying to McIntyre, Sutton simply wrote: "Good run in Europe for Rangers... but I can't see you anymore @DrewMcIntyre"
