Adam Montgomery has completed his loan move from Celtic to Livingston.

It had been reported this week Montgomery was about to join the Lions for the season after David Martindale fought off competition from within Scotland and also down south.

That has proved to the case with the West Lothian side announcing the loan signing today.

A spokesperson said: "We’re delighted to welcome Adam Montgomery, who joins the Lions on loan from Celtic for the 2025/26 campaign. Welcome to West Lothian, Adam!"

Celtic also confirmed the move on his own socials.

The left-sided player, who can play in defence or further forward, had a spell with Queen's Park last season and that followed loans with Aberdeen, St Johnstone, Fleetwood and Motherwell.

The 23-year-old saw a fair bit of first team football early in Ange Postecoglou's reign and has made a total of 20 appearances for Celtic.

He has been involved with Brendan Rodgers' side in pre-season but will now get more first team exposure at Livingston.
