UPDATE: Man dies after being hit by train in North Lanarkshire
Train services into Glasgow have been cancelled after a person was hit by a train in Bellshill.
The incident happened between the Bellshill and Shotts route.
Services into Glasgow Central Station from Edinburgh via Shotts have been cancelled.

Alternative routes will instead operate between Edinburgh and West Calder in both directions.
The condition of the person to have been hit is currently unknown.
We have approached British Transport Police for further comment.
