A Glasgow shopping centre has warned it will temporarily close its car parks if they become too busy ahead of its reopening tomorrow.

Retailers across the city are gearing up to go back into business from 6am as the city will move from tier four to tier three of coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

While Glasgow Fort is preparing to reopen its non-essential stores from 9am, it has warned shoppers if its car parks become too busy they will temporarily close.

A statement reads: "To help keep visitors safe, Glasgow Fort has hand sanitising stations and enhanced cleaning regimes in place. All visitors must wear a face-covering indoors at all times, unless exempt for medical reasons.

"The centre team will continue to carefully manage visitor numbers to ensure that everyone can maintain social distancing. If stores become particularly busy, visitors may be asked to queue considerately in a designated area, and car parks may also temporarily close."
