UPDATE: Mr Chisolm has been traced safe and well.

 

CONCERN is growing for a pensioner who has been reported missing from Coatbridge. 

Ronald Chisolm, 74, was last seen driving his silver Kia Venga on the M77 southbound near Silverburn at around 3.45pm. 

Police are appealing for help to trace Mr Chisolm as it is out of character for him to be gone for this amount of time.

Inspector Lyndsey McFarlane, from Coatbridge Police Station, said: "It is extremely out-of-character for Ronald to be gone for this long and concerns for his wellbeing are growing as time passes.

"We’re appealing for anyone with information his whereabouts, any potential sightings of him or his Kia Venga, to come forward as soon as possible.

"You can call police on 101, quoting incident 1854 of May 17."

Mr Chisolm is described as being around 5ft 4in with a stocky build.

He was last seen wearing a mustard coloured jacket, sand-coloured trousers, an off-pink cap, sand-coloured shoes and glasses. 

The registration number on the Kia Venga is RJ66 YLK.
