Police officers have provided an update after a city centre lane was taped off following a disturbance.
Earlier today the Glasgow Times reported that Mitchell Lane, between Buchanan Street and Mitchell Street, was sealed off from both sides amid heavy police presence.

Officers were seen guarding the scene and multiple police vehicles attended.
Several sources have told the Glasgow Times that someone has been assaulted.
The force spokesperson would only confirm that they were called around 4.15pm after reports of a disturbance at the lane.

Now, they have provided the following statement on the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.15pm on Monday, July 25, police were called to a report of a disturbance in Mitchell Lane, Glasgow.
"Officers attended and enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident and to trace those involved.”
