A range of SFA-led football sessions for kids are set to pop up around North Lanarkshire.

Weekly Active North Lanarkshire football coaching will give young aspiring footballers the chance to be led by fully qualified SFA coaches.

The sessions are open to boys and girls of all abilities from 18 months to 16 years old and will be available in Cumbernauld, Motherwell, Airdrie, Coatbridge and Bellshill.

The sessions will focus on developing players' movement, skills, game awareness, shooting and passing technique and having fun.

They will include group classes, specialist goalkeeper coaching and girls-only sessions.

Scott Currie, football development officer, said: "Our sessions provide a great platform for players to begin their football experience or to sharpen up their existing skills.

"We provide first-class training in a safe and fun environment, giving players the challenge they need to kick on in their footballing journey.

"With classes available in different venues and days throughout the week, there has never been a better time to get your child learning and playing."

Classes cost £21.10 per month and the programme is delivered over 50 weeks of the year.
