STEVEN DAVIS has hailed the 'phenomenal' impact of Connor Goldson at Rangers and highlighted the strength and depth of the squad that clinched the Premiership title.

Goldson was one of the first players that Steven Gerrard brought to Ibrox when he was appointed as manager three years ago and the defender has been a stalwart for the champions ever since.

He would play every minute of an unbeaten league campaign that saw Rangers end their decade-long wait for the silverware and finally deliver a 55th flag to supporters.

“For me, Connor has been excellent since I have come back to the club," Davis told the Rangers official souvenir magazine.

“This season we have been missing key players at different times but we have been able to adapt and cope with that, where we wouldn’t have in previous seasons.

“The ambition at this club will always be to try and improve again and build on any success you have but 2020/21 was a huge year for everybody.”
